President Donald Trump fired off an attack on a former Republican official in a Truth Social post just after 1 a.m. ET on Friday.
“Failed former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, of Georgia, is a total loser,” Trump wrote of Duncan, who called out the president’s lies about the 2020 election and has remained an outspoken critic ever since.
“Was never able to get anything done, all he ever did was complain,” Trump wrote. “We didn’t want him in the Republican Party any longer, so I’m told he became a Democrat. Good riddance Geoff. You don’t even have a chance!!!”
Duncan, who was expelled by the state GOP in January, announced this week that he had left the Republican Party and become a Democrat.
Duncan in 2020 voted for Trump.
