Two individuals from West Bengal were arrested by the Shamshabad District Task Force (DTF) on Thursday, August 7 during a routine inspection along the Khajaguda - Nanakramguda road. The officials seized 66 grams of heroin valued at approximately ₹2.5 lakh from the duo.

The accused, identified as Md. Noor Akbar and Md. Ajit Mohin, both natives of Malda in West Bengal, had allegedly arrived in Hyderabad under the pretext of seeking work but were in fact attempting to sell heroin.
