Two inter-State ganja smugglers from Odisha were arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force and Malakpet police. They were nabbed at Dilsukhnagar Bus Stop while transporting 20 kg of ganja intended for delivery in Hyderabad.The arrested men were identified as 28-year-old Ramesh Bandam, a farmer from Malkangiri district in Odisha, and 29-year-old Nirmal Chhatria, a daily wage worker from the same district. Police said two other accused, identified as Anand Thakura alias David, the alleged supplier from Odisha, and Goutham, the intended receiver in Hyderabad, are absconding.The accused reportedly collected 20 kg of ganja from Malkangiri on the instructions of the supplier and travelled to Hyderabad. They were directed to wait at Dilsukhnagar Bus Stop, where the contraband was to be handed over to the receiver.Acting on specific information, the task force and Malakpet police apprehended the duo and seized four packets of ganja weighing 5 kg each, along with two mobile phones.
