Ramarajan, 40, of Thirumanur in Ariyalur district, succumbed to injuries sustained in an accident at the construction site at Karanthattankudi in Thanjavur on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased sustained grievous injuries after the scaffolding collapsed suddenly while Ramarajan was engaged in construction work. He was rushed to the Thanjavur Medical College hospital and admitted for treatment.
However, he died at the hospital on August 6 night and the Thanjavur East Police have registered a case and are investigating.
