Wembley stadium bosses are reportedly considering banning alcohol in the stands after an Oasis fan slipped on spilled beer before falling to his death at the weekend.

Lee Claydon, 45, plummeted from a balcony on the upper tier of the stadium during the band's sell-out gig in North London on Saturday evening.

The father-of-one from Bournemouth died at the scene despite medics battling to save his life in front of horrified fans as the band finished off the concert.

There had been 'beer all over the floor' when Mr Claydon slipped and fell to his death, his father Clive Claydon, 75, revealed on Wednesday.

'I've been told that it was an accident waiting to happen. It was a horrible, horrible accident. All I really know is there was beer everywhere, he slipped,' he added.
