It's valuable when a musician encapsulates a deep truth in a song. It doesn't matter whether it is a love song or a protest song, a song of hope or a song of pain. Nor does it matter how many people are present when this happens, be it masses or a handful. A truth formulated in a song is something important, even if it's small, as Yael Birnbaum proved when she sang at a fundraiser for Gaza residents on Monday in Tel Aviv.
