The mortal remains of Kadali Durga Suresh, a 35-year-old worker from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, were handed over to his family on Wednesday, five days after he died in a fire mishap at an apartment in in Riggae city, Kuwait.
The incident which occurred on June 1, claimed the lives of six people, of which Kadali Durga Suresh was one of the victims. His parents had approached the Konaseema Centre for Migration to facilitate the repatriation of his body. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Collector R. Mahesh Kumar said: “We collected DNA samples from the parents of the deceased and submitted them to the Kuwait government for identification of the mortal remains. Following confirmation, the mortal remains were brought back and handed over to his family, who performed the last rites at Poonnamada village in Razole mandal.”
