The government unanimously voted to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara yesterday, pending review by the Supreme Court. Her detractors in the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had long accused the attorney general of making decisions openly hostile to its so-called judicial overhaul. Most recently, Baharav-Miara has been blamed for acting "as an extension of the government's opponents" by Justice Minister Yariv Levin.
