Israel's Attorney General summoned to pre-dismissal hearing by new cabinet committee

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara said the decision to proceed with firing her is illegal. Under current law, dismissing her requires the original appointments committee that endorsed her candidacy to recommend her removal

The ministerial committee formed by the Israeli cabinet on Sunday to consider removing the attorney general from office has summoned her to a hearing scheduled for next Tuesday, June 17.
