KSRTC bus services were partially disrupted in Mysuru as employees launched an indefinite strike on August 5.
About 60% of services have been affected by the strike. Currently, newly-appointed drivers and contractual drivers are managing operations.

According to reports from various taluks, passengers have been left stranded due to the sudden disruption in public transport. Within Mysuru, the strike has caused severe inconvenience as intra-city passengers were stranded at the city bus stand. Autorickshaws and cab services have seen a spike in demand following the strike.
