This is the terrifying moment a sword fight broke out in a city centre street, before police arrested six men.
Officers were called to Commercial Road, Newport, after a group of men were seen fighting in the street yesterday afternoon.
Video shard to X showed the thugs with huge sword-like blades who were seen with bloodied faces and arms during the violence.
The group were seen clashing into each other with the weapons as one fell to the ground and others attempted to interject.
Gwent Police said six men, aged 25, 28, 33, 40, 42 and 52, and one 17-year-old boy, who are all from Newport, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in custody.
