The Trump-aligned lawmaker said Gaza is starving and urged fellow lawmakers to halt funding to Israel's 'nuclear-armed' government, accusing it of 'systematically cleansing' Palestinians from their land

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a far-right firebrand in the U.S. Congress and one of the lawmakers most aligned with President Donald Trump's MAGA movement, has called Israel's war in Gaza a genocide for the second time this week, a rare label within her caucus.

She is the first GOP member to describe the war as such and is urging the United States to stop funding Israel as it continues to wage war in Gaza.

In a post on X published on Thursday, Greene said that she spoke with a pastor from Gaza and emphasized that "there are children starving," and asked, "Are innocent Israeli lives more valuable than innocent Palestinian and Christian lives?"

"Why should America continue funding this?" she added.
