South Korea has struck a trade deal with the US which reduced the threatened reciprocal tariff on the major Asian trade partner to 15%, just days before the Aug.1 deadline imposed by Washington. South Korea has pledged to import more US LNG and other energy products as well as rebuild US shipbuilding.
South Korea, US Reach Trade Deal Involving US LNG Purchases
The deal would lead to a reduced 15% reciprocal tariff on South Korea, which has pledged to buy $100 billion worth of US LNG and other energy products.
