India Post is set to implement a comprehensive software upgrade at the RS Puram Head Post Office and all its affiliated sub and branch offices, effective from August 4. The upgraded platform will introduce enhanced functionalities, including the facility to process payments via QR codes.

In an official release, India Post announced that August 2, 2025 (Saturday) will be observed as a “non-transaction day” at these offices to facilitate the seamless deployment of the new system. On this day, financial transactions involving postal savings accounts—such as deposits and withdrawals—will be temporarily suspended. In addition, services including Registered Post, Speed Post, and parcel bookings will not be available at the affected locations.
