The Dutch government has imposed an entry ban on Israel's National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, labeling them persona non gratae and banning them from entry to the Netherlands.

Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp noted that the ministers have "repeatedly incited violence against the Palestinian population, persistently advocated for the expansion of illegal settlements and called for ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip."

The foreign minister also stated that the cabinet has committed to registering the two ministers as undesirable aliens in the Schengen Information System, which includes 29 European countries.

The cabinet decision also stated that the export of weapons to Israel will be restricted and that the minister is summoning the Israeli ambassador.

In response to the ban, Itamar Ben-Gvir wrote on X: "Even if I'm banned from entering all of Europe, I will continue to work for our country and demand we collapse Hamas and support our fighters," he wrote.
