The part of the Paris Agreement that governs international carbon markets — Article 6 — is finally moving forward. The details are still falling into place, including for a centrally run carbon-trading platform, which isn't yet operational but is inching toward launch. Methodologies governing specific types of carbon-cutting projects that would underpin either centrally or bilaterally traded credits are due to be released in several batches starting in October, Energy Intelligence has learned.
