Florida police handcuffed a Chuck E. Cheese mascot in front of children at the restaurant’s Tallahassee location Wednesday night, accusing him of credit card fraud in an arrest that has since gone viral.

The employee, Jermel Jones, 41, was booked on felony charges of credit card theft, criminal use of personal identification information and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by HuffPost.

The victim told Tallahassee police that the last time she recalled having her Visa debit card was last month when she attended her child’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

She later noticed charges at stores she did not regularly shop at, including smoke shops and Whataburger, records say.

Police say the victim viewed video footage from one of the shops and recognized Jones, according to the affidavit.
