Premier League side’s chief commercial officer Ben Latty hails ‘incredible facility’, says team ‘blown away’ by support
A senior Liverpool executive said on Friday that Kai Tak Sports Park had been the “game changer” that brought the English giants back to Hong Kong.
The Premier League champions, who last visited the city in 2017, will play AC Milan in front of a 50,000 sell-out Kai Tak Stadium crowd on Saturday night, two days after they attracted more than 27,000 to an open training session at the same venue.
And Ben Latty, Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, said he would not rule out the club returning to Hong Kong in the near future, following a “very successful” visit.
Latty was wowed by the city’s flagship new stadium during a fact-finding trip 12 months ago, in particular its air conditioning system.
