Multiple unauthorised clinics in Hyderabad’s Addagutta, Secunderabad, and Jawahar Nagar areas were exposed during surprise inspections carried out by the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Thursday (July 24, 2025). It was found that individuals without valid medical qualifications had been running first aid centres and clinics, dispensing allopathic medicines in violation of safety regulations and medical laws.
One of the establishments inspected was a First Aid Centre in Addagutta, operated by one Sudhakar, who had been running the facility for over 20 years without authorisation. TGMC officials found medicines stored in open plastic containers and distributed by hand in an unsafe manner, with some reportedly being sold in nearby grocery shops.
Swetha Clinic, managed by Chiliveru Balaraj, and Chakravarthi Clinic, run by Salimuddin, were also found to be in operation for several years without proper credentials. The officials came across unhygienic conditions and improper storage of medicines at these centres.
