Delhi’s monsoon-induced waterlogging woes continued to spark a political blame game on Thursday, with an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader taking a boat ride on a flooded road in north-east Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta holding the previous AAP government responsible for the city’s current situation.

“During the Delhi Assembly election campaign, BJP leader Kapil Mishra repeatedly claimed that if his party formed the government, he would become a Minister and permanently resolve Karawal Nagar’s waterlogging problem. The people trusted him and elected him, but still the area’s residents are suffering,” said former AAP councillor Manoj Tyagi, who took a boat ride on the road outside the Khajuri Khas police station.
