Training camp is not off to a good start for the New York Jets' new QB1.

According to multiple reports, Jets quarterback Justin Fields had to be carted back to the locker room Thursday – the second day of Jets training camp practices.

Initial reports indicate that Fields limped off the field with a trainer to a medical tent before the cart came to take him back to the locker room.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told members of the media after practice that it is a toe injury for Fields. He added that he assumes someone stepped on Fields' toe. The severity of the injury is still to be determined.

Fields was one of the Jets' biggest free agent signings of the offseason, representing a new face under center for the team's new regime after Gang Green released veteran Aaron Rodgers.
