As crews continue to search for survivors in the devastating Texas flash floods that killed at least 120 people, several other states are grappling with their own severe weather.

Tropical Storm Chantal brought a deluge of rain and flooding to central North Carolina on July 6, killing at least three, while flash flooding in New Mexico caused at least three fatalities on July 8. Rain has continued to pound the areas in the days since, resulting in hazardous conditions.

On July 10, Interstate 93, a major Massachusetts highway that connects Boston to neighboring suburbs, was closed due to rising waters and "special marine warnings" were issued in several areas of Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland.

Major cities in the area, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Richmond are under flash flood warnings, according to the National Weather Service, which forecasted 2-3 inches of rainfall per hour.
