Lauding the efforts of law enforcement agencies in tackling the drug menace in the city, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said the Delhi police arrested 1,100 people booked in drug trafficking cases and destroyed 50,000 kg of seized drugs between January and April this year.
“The fight against drugs needs everyone’s involvement. If we come together, I believe we can eliminate the drug menace,” Ms. Gupta said at an event held at the Yamuna Sports Complex on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
