Two people have been seriously injured after a house was destroyed in an explosion that sounded 'like a nuclear bomb going off' - with what appeared to be hundreds of gas canisters pictured in the wreckage.
The blast in Spring Hall Grove, Halifax, West Yorkshire, happened just after midnight on Thursday.
CCTV showed a large explosion, followed by dozens of smaller bangs, with one local describing seeing 'butane gas canisters in the street'.
The blast appeared to have ripped the roof off at least one home, sending debris into the street.
Videos showed fire leaping from the roof and a series of smaller explosions lasting several minutes.
