El Al Israel Airlines announced Tuesday that it will increase flight operations to bring thousands of passengers back to Israel, following the declaration of a cease-fire and the gradual reopening of Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

The national carrier said it is working on an airlift using its full fleet to add thousands of seats in the next 24 hours, as it works to restore its schedule and accommodate the large number of Israelis still stranded abroad due to the war with Iran
