Under the cover of the war, freedom of the press in Israel is also under attack. On Monday, Haaretz reported that the police's legal adviser has sent officers new directives that give them the power to detain and even arrest journalists if they think the latter are documenting the location of missile strikes "on or near strategic defense sites."
