With close to one million Jews living in the five boroughs of New York City, it is no shock that antisemitism is an important issue in the surprisingly competitive Democratic primary for mayor, voting for which is set to conclude on Tuesday. All the Democratic candidates have or claim to have plans to protect the city's Jewish community from violent hate crimes, which have increased across the U.S. over the last several months.
