Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Monday that Italy disagreed with Spain after Madrid demanded the EU end agreements with Israel and impose sanctions on it at the foreign affairs council in Brussels.
"Our position is different from Spain's," Tajani said.
"We think that it is essential to have a dialogue with Israel.
Thanks to this dialogue we managed to get almost 1,000 people out of the (Gaza) Strip.
"We are the only ones who managed to get a UN convoy into Gaza.
