Israel continued its attack on Iran overnight, striking key military targets, including the complex Parchin which is associated with Iran’s National Security Council.
The site, located about 30 kilometres southeast of Tehran, is among the locations suspected to have been used by Iran to enrich uranium.
It comes as Donald Trump said the US’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities had caused “monumental damage”, despite other officials cautioning that the extent of destruction remained unclear.
“Monumental damage was done to all nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term!” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social late on Sunday night.
He added: “The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”
