Emergency measures cancel Israeli High Court hearings on Gaza war, Palestinian rights

The High Court is operating under an order from the justice minister allowing only urgent hearings. Human rights groups warn Israel continues to violate international law in Gaza and lack legal means to challenge it.

The High Court of Justice has postponed and canceled hearings on petitions dealing with the rights of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the legality of Israeli warfare there, on the grounds of the state of emergency that was declared due to the war with Iran.
