Soroka Medical Center director Shlomi Kodesh said that due to the damage sustained by the building, patients will soon be transferred to other medical centers. "The building was severely damaged and there is extensive damage from the blast," Kodesh told reporters. "All patients and staff were in protected areas, and all of the injuries we've treated are minor."
He urged the public not to come to the hospital, which has been closed and is currently only able to handle emergency cases. "In the coming hours, we will transfer hospitalized patients to nearby hospitals," he added.
