A fire broke out at an e-rickshaw charging point in Delhi’s Dilshad Garden area on Sunday leaving two persons dead. According to the Delhi Fire Service, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot after the department received a call at 11.32 p.m. The fire was brought under control, and a cooling operation was carried out to prevent any re-ignition, an official said. The fire, suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, occurred on the ground floor of a house and spread quickly, said a senior Delhi Police official. The blaze inflicted fatal burn injuries on two people who were declared brought dead by the doctors at GTB hospital, he added.
