The K.G. Chavadi police arrested two persons with stolen mobile phones during a patrol near Walayar dam area in the early hours of Sunday.
The arrested have been identified as S. Mohankumar, 25, of Kambalapatti near Pollachi and M. Sathiswaran, 25, of Kolumam near Madathukulam in Tiruppur district.
A three-member patrol team from K.G. Chavadi police found them in suspicious circumstances near Walayar dam area around 12.45 a.m. on Sunday. The police also found them carrying a pair of gloves, a screwdriver and mobile phones. They admitted to the police that they stole mobile phones of a person from K.G. Chavadi.
Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police K. Karthikeyan appreciated the policemen and presented them certificates on Monday.
