The Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Friday questioned former Health Minister Satyendar Jain for over five hours in connection with alleged corruption worth ₹2,000 crore in constructing 12,748 classrooms in Delhi government schools during Arvind Kejriwal’s term as Chief Minister.
A senior ACB official said that Mr. Jain was given a written, 29-point questionnaire to which he provided “evasive” replies and that the former Minister could be summoned again after the statements of other witnesses are recorded.
Sisodia also summoned
The agency has also summoned former Education Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning in the same case on Monday.
Mr. Jain said the case is “politically motivated”.
