“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said President Donald Trump’s aides are struggling to keep him informed of world events for one very Trump-like reason.
“According to intelligence experts who have tried to brief him, the problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read,” Colbert said, citing a Rolling Stone report. “Which is appalling.”
Colbert said one CIA analyst reportedly said that while Trump didn’t read his daily intelligence briefing, he “touched” it.
“Touching it doesn’t count, I don’t think,” Colbert said.
A retired intelligence officer told Rolling Stone that the briefings were the “most difficult challenges” the intelligence community faced.
