Rigour is the correct and effective response to instrumental attacks, President Sergio Mattarella told training magistrates Wednesday.
A "rigorous exercise and a sense of responsibility are a necessary aspect" as is the irreproachable individual behavior": "judges have the duty to appear and be irreproachable and impartial.
Moral rigor and high professionalism are the most effective response to instrumental attacks", said Mattarella, speaking to the ordinary magistrates in training at the presidential Quirinale Palace.
