Reveller was 'raped by club security after he took her to sober up'

A Halloween reveller was allegedly raped by a security guard at a nightclub after he took her away from the queue to 'sober up', a court has heard.

Morenikeji Adewole, 47, from Dartford, Kent, is on trial accused of raping the 19-year-old woman in his car near Heaven nightclub in central London in the early hours of November 1, 2024, which he denies.

Southwark Crown Court heard on Thursday that the partygoer was rejected from the nightclub after queuing for more than two hours and was reportedly upset after being separated from her friends.

The complainant, who cannot be identified, and another friend were escorted around the corner from the club by the security guard to sober up.

During the 30-minute period where they were outside the girl alleges she left her friend and had sex in the security guard's car after he promised to let her in to the club.
