Elon Musk's Starlink sattelite fast Internet service is ready to do a deal with Rome but some officials are blocking it, Musk's man in Italy Andrea Stroppa told La Stampa daily Thursday.
He said Industry Minister Adolfo Urso had said Italy would have its own system within five years.
Urso said he was "amazed" by Stroppa's words.
"What amazes me about what I have read is that Mr.
Stroppa believes he knows what was said to the Supreme Defense Council, which obviously works in complete and necessary secrecy," said the Made in Italy minister.
