(ANSAmed) - TUNISI, 21 MAG - The Libyan Interior Minster of Interior, Imad Trabelsi, during a meeting on May 19 with Ambassadors, EU Representatives and others, took stock of the situation concerning migration.
TRIPOLI - During the course of a meeting which took place on May 19 with the Ambassador of the EU to Libya and the Ambassadors and Representatives of Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Malta, Holand, Spain and Japan, the acting Minister of the Interior of the Libyan National Unity government, Imad Trabelsi, discussed the issue of illegal migration and the way to strengthen the voluntary repatriation of migrants.
"Cooperation to regularize the job market" The Government platform of the Gnu states, as reiterated by Libyan Minister Trabelsi, "The categoric refusal of Libya to any plan aimed at placing migrants within its borders, underscoring the importance of cooperation with international partners to regulate the job market and to face the economic and security challenges associated with migration".
Trabelsi underscored the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Interior to issue residency permits on a trial basis to organized workers and to monitor a high number of migrants who wish to return to their countries, asking for additional coordination with their countries of origin and the competent organizations.
