“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert called out President Donald Trump for trying to “intimidate another important sector of the American economy: our precious celebrities.”
Colbert said the president on Friday “out of nowhere” posted an attack on pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social website: “Has anyone noticed that, since I said “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” she’s no longer “HOT?””
The audience booed and jeered Trump for going after the beloved Swift. When Colbert gestured for more, they amped it up. And when he waved his arm to cut them off, they stopped immediately.
Colbert broke into laughter himself and needed a beat to regain his composure.
