An eight-year-old boy was left needing facial reconstruction surgery after being attacked by a dog believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Devastated mum Victoria Kiesler's said her son Weston was outside his house riding his bike when he was suddenly attacked by the dog in Goole, West Yorkshire.
The young boy's lip was 'hanging off' his face after the incident and he was also left with multiple facial lacerations and a fractured arm.
Weston was rushed to hospital, where he had to have a five-hour reconstructive operation to repair the injuries to his face and he has a cast on his right arm.
The owner of the dog, a 54-year-old man, was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of being a person in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog that caused injury.
