elanie Marsden was born in Birmingham and studied media and cultural studies at Cardiff University. She met her husband, Dan, at primary school; they launched the body positive lingerie brand Lounge in 2016 from her parents’ spare room with £1,000 from savings and her student loan. The Solihull-based company was worth £150 million last year. The couple live in Birmingham with their children, Felicity, 4, and Frederick, 18 months, and Pip the cavapoo.
Felicity appears before six and gets between us for a cuddle. Then Dan brings me a cup of tea and we do a “prince and princess” breakfast in bed — a pancake for Felicity and a squishy yoghurt for Fred. It’s about pace; we don’t have time to sit around a breakfast
