BRICS leaders on Saturday recognised artificial intelligence as a major opportunity for economic growth and sustainable development, while calling for international cooperation to ensure AI is safe, secure, inclusive and reliable. The New Delhi Declaration also backed intellectual property protections, fair remuneration and stronger safeguards against cultural misrepresentation in AI datasets and models.
