Meet Alex Patrone, the student entrepreneur who turned a 3D printer into a charitable venture, creating products for customers while using the proceeds to support food donations

High school student Alex Patrone found a meaningful project during quarantine after receiving a 3D printer for his birthday. After making household items, toys, puzzles, containers, stands, and other products for his family, he decided to combine his interest in 3D printing with his desire to help people who were less fortunate. Through his project, Will Print for Food, Patrone offers 3D-printing services to the public and directs 100% of the profit, after materials and shipping costs, to charity. The selected organizations are Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center and Feeding America, with donations split evenly between the two organizations.
