Russia has significantly increased fertilizer shipments to India this year. President Putin assured Prime Minister Modi of continued vital agricultural supplies. Russian producers supplied 6.5 million tonnes of fertilizers to India last year. India now imports one in every three tonnes of fertilizer from Russia. BRICS nations receive half of all Russian mineral fertilizer exports.
