Bill defeated by 286 votes to 270 – a majority of just 16 – in major setback for supporters of assisted dying

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill is due to have its Second Reading in the Commons on Friday after being reintroduced by Labour's Lauren Edwards.
