The reconstruction bill after deadly floods sparked by a glacial mountain collapse that hit Nepal last month would amount to $4.78 billion, the foreign ministry said on Sept. 11.

It's been more than 10 days since a glacial collapse sent freezing water, rocks and debris roaring down Nepal's Bhotekoshi and Trishuli valleys.

Nepal is expected to demand contributions towards the $5 billion it says it needs to help rebuild the country after the recent catastrophic floods.
