'Doubts his own mental capacity’: Sudhanshu, Nalin Kohli hit back at Chidambaram over BRICS remark

Responding to P Chidambaram’s remarks on PM Modi’s ‘Dimagi Naxal’ comment and the multilateral summits like BRICS & SCO, he questioned the mental capacity of the former Union Finance Minister in UPA Government. Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram’s questioning of what this summit will achieve raises doubts about his own mental capacity; given that prominent heads of State are attending. I would like to remind P Chidambaram that it was during his own government's tenure that India participated in the BRICS Summit for the first time in 2009, and hosted the summit for the first time in 2012. It was Chidambaram himself who stated in 2009 that had North India not existed, South and West India would have progressed much further.” Reacting to Chidambaram’s remarks, BJP leader Nalin Kohli said it was surprising that the Congress leader had raised such questions. He said this came at a time when India was preparing to host an important international event bringing together several heads of state and govt.
