The court heard James flirted with the boy in class and exchanged Snapchat messages before driving him to her home where they had sex. In a police interview, the pupil stated he felt he had been groomed by James, who asked him to call her Miss when they were alone together. The relationship was exposed when another student showed a teacher sexually-charged text messages sent between the defendant and the victim.
