The Pakistan Air Force has showcased newer short-range air-defence systems of Chinese and Turkish origin, including the HQ-17A and KORKUT, as it seeks to strengthen protection around key military assets. The systems were displayed after Operation Sindoor, during which India said it had targeted Pakistani air-defence infrastructure and military sites. The new equipment adds additional layers to Pakistans air defence network.

The features of the vehicles, as per the report, were similar to China's HQ-17A short-range surface-to-air missile system. | World News

Successful integration with other foreign systems by Pakistan would strengthen China’s export case ‘considerably’, analyst notes.
